Description
A lovely room-size vintage Heriz rug circa 1920-30, it presents in excellent estate condition with a bold palette mellowed from years of gentle use and sun exposure to result in a most interesting burnt red ground. The contrasting colors throughout are particularly effective, using deep cobalt blues against pinks vines in the border and sharper reds framed in cream stringers in the spandrels. Years of use have lowered the pile in a most attractive way, resulting in a design that springs to the forefront with crispness and clarity.

Condition: Ends reduced, light even wear throughout with a nice low pile; some minimal structure visibility. Some discolorations and dirtiness, would benefit from a professional cleaning.
