French Orientalist Bronze Sculpture of a Shoeshine after the model by Edouard Drouot, patinated and polychromed bronze, signed to the reverse E. Drouot in script, sealed with editeur cachet for Bronze Garanti au Titre, Paris and foundry mark [weight with cold-stamped lettering]. A cabinet bronze depicting a grinning Arab boy leaning against a tree stump with a shoeshine kit slung over his shoulder. Finished in a richly variegated patina with warm brown, red-oxide, and gold highlights, including cold-painted red detailing to the cap. Cast with fine surface texture and crisp modeling throughout. 13 1/8 H x 4 3/8 W x 4 5/8 D
