Description

EARLY 20TH CENTURY PRINT LITHOGRAPH BY MAURICE LOURDEY (FRENCH, 1860-1934)

A most attractive advertising poster from the turn of the century, it is incredibly striking at its notably large dimensions with an overall height of nearly 71 framed; this same lithograph of slightly larger dimensions is held in the collection of Musée Carnavalet in Paris (acc. no. AFF1563). The playful image depicts a flirtatious encounter between a young woman and an overweight older man made possible by the stability of Tridon tires. The present poster has an applied retailer address label on the lower right corner of the poster and is hung behind plexiglass in a modern frame.

[frame] 70 7/8 H x 51 5/8 W

If you choose to have the print removed from the frame (and the frame disposed of), this can be shipped in-house.
