Description
Pair of EA108 Swivel Office Desk Chairs by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller with impressed branding in aluminum, original blue upholstery, circa 1960. This early swivel desk chair designed by Charles Eames and retailed by Herman Miller was designed with the early flattened footing and retains the original glides under each foot; this was changed for a longer posted foot in later designs. The stitched tweed blue covering is original and remains serviceable and comfortable; it retains the original upholstery tags and license stamps. The chair is crafted using die-cast aluminum for the upper body with a glossy clear coat seal, the fixed aluminum stem with a baked enamel finish. Under the U-shape seat brace is the patent stamp for Herman Miller.

Condition: Scratches and scuffs to aluminum, discolorations and oxidization to base. The clear enamel finish with losses throughout the arms. Original blue upholstery with some fading and numerous discolorations/stains.
