Louis XVI Style Kingwood Veneered Writing Table, Vide-Poche en Rognon, French, ca. late 19th century.
A French Louis XVI style writing table of kidney (rognon) form, veneered in kingwood with marquetry depicting a floral bouquet within a circular medallion, set against a parquetry ground and framed by a brass border. The single dovetailed drawer features a fitted interior for writing implements and inkwells. Raised on pierced scrolled legs tapering to brass casters.
34 7/8” W x 18 1/2” D (at feet) x 29 3/8” H
Condition: Minor veneer chips and scuffs, light edge wear.
