Description
19th Century Pair of Louis XV Style Carved Beechwood Wingback Armchairs. Circa late 19th century. A good pair of wingback bergere arm chairs in the Louis XV style, they feature beautifully patinated carved beechwood frames with reeded moldings throughout with minimal excess carvings. The frame has rubbed into a most attractive glowing surface with old dings, abrading and surface history captured under years of waxing and rubbing to create a nuanced surface. 34 H x 27 1/2 W x 22 1/4 D x 17 1/4 H to seat
Condition: Upholstery in poor condition. Minor surface wear and abrading to an overall beautifully patinated surface. Sturdy joints, very comfortable.
