Pair of Mid-Century Modern Beechwood Woven Twine Arm Chairs, Belgium or Netherlands, circa 1950-70
Label on one VERO STOEL / de sterke stoel with a running rabbit
A sleek and austere pair of mid-century modern chairs, they are crafted of solid beechwood, the eight-spindle back comfortably curved with bold open-arms flanking an inset woven twine seat, the post supporting the arm continuing in a curve to become the back leg. Front legs lightly molded and tapered.
36 H x 13 5/8 H to seat x 23 3/8 D x 23 1/4 W
Condition: Heavily worn and discolored surfaces with obvious use indicators (scuffs, scratches and finish losses) throughout. Twine with minor threading, overall in good repair. Very comfortable, supportive and sturdy.
